I specialize in repairing and restoring turn-of-the century sash windows so they function smoothly and reliably again. My most common service is repairing or replacing the cotton sash cords that allow your window to open and stay open properly.
In addition, I can replace and reinstall trim, weatherstripping, window sill repair, windows that have been painted shut through the years, removal of paint from friction surfaces and repainting after the work is complete—so your window not only works like it should, but looks right too.

I have a deep respect for older, turn-of-the-century windows and the craftsmanship behind them. There’s something incredibly satisfying about restoring a window that hasn’t worked in decades and bringing it back to life the way it was meant to function.
I approach each project with that same level of care—aiming not just to fix the problem, but to honor the original workmanship in the process.
It’s also just me. When you reach out, you’re speaking directly with the person doing the work—no layers, no handoffs. I keep communication simple and responsive.
My goal is to help preserve Seattle’s unique architectural character, one window at a time.

Each window is assessed individually, as condition and scope can vary significantly.
My rate starts at $200 per window (labor only, materials not included). Before any work begins, I provide a clear, upfront estimate so you know exactly what to expect.
